STO Sales Executive (Gauteng / Cape Town)
ANEW Hotels and Resorts are looking for an STO Sales Executive to drive business development and revenue growth through strategic partnerships with Special Tour Operators (STOs), travel agencies, and wholesale partners to increase group bookings and leisure travel across ANEW Hotels & Resorts' portfolio.
The successful candidate will be based in Gauteng, Centurion or Cape Town.
Key Responsibilities
Tour Operator & Travel Agency Relations
• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with domestic and international tour
operators
• Build relationships with travel agencies, wholesale operators, and OTAs
• Identify and pursue new STO partnerships to expand market reach
• Negotiate partnership agreements and commission structures
• Ensure compliance with tour operator requirements and standards
Sales & Revenue Generation
• Achieve and exceed annual revenue targets for STO segment
• Negotiate competitive contracts, rates, and commission structures
• Develop attractive packages and special offers for STO partners
• Monitor and optimize pricing strategies to maximize revenue and occupancy
• Drive incremental business through strategic account development
Business Development & Market Expansion
• Research and identify new market opportunities in the STO segment
• Attend travel trade shows, workshops, and industry events
• Conduct sales presentations and site inspections for tour operators
• Organize familiarization trips (FAM trips) for key partners
• Expand market presence through strategic relationship building
Account Management & Support
• Maintain regular communication with existing STO partners
• Monitor booking patterns and account performance
• Provide ongoing operational support and resolve issues promptly
• Ensure timely payment collection and manage credit terms
• Deliver exceptional service that exceeds partner expectations
Product Development & Marketing Collaboration
• Collaborate with marketing team on STO-focused promotional materials
• Work with operations to develop group-suitable packages
• Provide market feedback to influence product development
• Support destination marketing initiatives
• Develop competitive positioning strategies
Reporting & Performance Analysis
• Prepare comprehensive sales reports and forecasts for STO segment
• Analyse market trends and competitor activities
• Track performance metrics including conversion rates and revenue per partner
• Maintain accurate CRM records and update partner profiles
• Generate market insights and recommendations
Required Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Business, Marketing, or related field
• Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in tourism/travel industry sales
• Proven experience with tour operators, travel agencies, or wholesale travel
• Strong understanding of tour operator business model and distribution channels
• Deep knowledge of tourism industry trends and seasonal patterns
• Understanding of group booking processes and tour operator requirements
• Knowledge of hotel inventory management and yield optimization
• Excellent sales and negotiation abilities
• Strong relationship-building and networking skills
• Proficiency in CRM systems and travel industry booking platforms
• Advanced MS Office Suite knowledge
• Results-driven with proactive sales approach
• Cultural awareness for international partnerships
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
