ANEW Resort Wilderness is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Kids Club Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the planning and facilitation of fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities for children while ensuring their safety, well-being and overall enjoyment.

The ideal candidate should have a genuine passion for working with children, strong communication and organisational skills, and the creativity to provide memorable experiences for our younger guests. The successful candidate must be able to create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment while maintaining professional standards and adhering to the resort's child safety and supervision procedures.

Strategic Purpose:

The Kids Club Associate is responsible for creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children participating in the Kids Club program. The role involves supervising children, leading activities, ensuring their safety and well-being, and providing excellent customer service to parents and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities.

• Plan and facilitate games, arts and crafts, educational activities, and entertainment programs.

• Ensure the safety and security of all children in the Kids Club at all times.

• Maintain accurate attendance records and sign-in/sign-out procedures.

• Monitor children's behaviour and address any concerns professionally.

• Assist with themed events, holiday programs, and special activities.

• Keep the Kids Club area clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.

• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's participation and well-being.

• Provide first aid when necessary and report any incidents according to company procedures.

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and child protection policies.

• Promote Kids Club activities and encourage guest participation.

• Assist with setup and breakdown of activities and events.

Mandatory Prerequisites:

• Clear criminal record (Police Clearance Certificate required).

• No record on the National Sex Offenders Register.

• Must pass a background check and reference verification.

• Demonstrated ability to manage stress and no history of anger management issues.

• Physically and mentally fit to care for children.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate.

• Previous experience working with children in a childcare, education, hospitality, or recreational environment preferred.

• First Aid

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Energetic, creative, and enthusiastic personality.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, and school vacation periods.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
