Internal Auditor Assistant (Gauteng, Centurion)
ANEW Hotels & Resorts is looking for an Internal Auditor Assistant to ensure the Company operates efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The primary goal is to provide independent, objective assurance and advice on the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes within the Company.
The successful candidate will be based in Gauteng, Centurion, Support Office.
Conduct internal audit procedures to assess the Company's financial, operational, and compliance risks.
Review and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and Company policies.
Develop and implement audit plans based on identified risks and priorities.
Identify weaknesses in internal systems and processes and make recommendations for improvement.
Report audit findings to Management and provide constructive recommendations for enhancing controls.
Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and follow up on audit recommendations.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Assist in preparing audit reports and summaries for Senior management and audit committees.
Collaborate with various departments to promote risk awareness and improve internal processes.
Develop SOP’s and relevant audits as and when required.
Responsible for conducting/managing the audit process even where not involved in the audits for all the departments in the Company.
Qualifications:
At least 3-5 years’ experience in the hospitality industry;
Proven experience in internal auditing, risk management, or similar roles.
Strong knowledge of internal controls, risk management practices, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong Excel skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to meet deadlines
Attention to detail and a high level of integrity.
Work Environment:
This position will require occasional travel to all the hotels within the Group.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
