ANEW Hotel OR Tambo is looking for an Assistant Financial Manager .

Key Duties & Responsibilites

• Support the Finance Manager in preparing accurate forecasts and budgets for the hotel and other relevant areas
• Prepare precise financial reports and identify any variances or discrepancies in a timely manner
• Collaborate with the Finance Manager to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting is completed accurately and within deadlines
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations by maintaining robust internal control systems
• Oversee departmental accounting processes to ensure accurate allocation to accounts
• Train and mentor members of the local finance team, supporting professional development and succession planning
• Promote financial awareness across hotel management teams
• Adhere to fire, health, and safety regulations, following proper procedures at all times
• Perform additional duties or special projects as directed by the Finance Manager or General Manager
• Supervise financial operations and team members to ensure timely completion of all tasks and reports.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience in a high-volume finance or accounts environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Sage and Opera systems is a strong advantage
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal departments and external stakeholders
